Many of you may know that colder weather has struck the entire United States this winter season. South West Florida has experienced cooler than normal weather. It has been approximately 83 years since the Everglades has seen weather below 70 degrees for more than a few days. Forecasters say this spurt is over; however, it has slightly affected our beautiful foliage. Although many of our tropical plants survived this cold front, the Palm trees show signs of stress. “Noreaster” Rally

Everglades Isle welcomes the “Noreasters”! A large group of Country Coach owners came to the Everglades from the north east to escape the harsh winter! They are enjoying the amenities of our facility and the adventures of Everglades City. They enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while watching the beautiful Everglades sunset from our Lighthouse Club. They mingled about on the porch deciding whether to take a dip in the pool or relax in the spa! Earlier in the day, they toured the back country via a local airboat. We look forward to hosting many more groups to experience this wonderful lifestyle!

Boaters in Paradise Winner

I would like to congratulate Mike F. from Miami, Florida who is the winner of our “Boaters in Paradise”, weekend on the water! Mike put in his entry while visiting our booth at the Miami International Boat Show this past week. He can enjoy a weekend staying on his boat, while docked at one of our 143 wet slips. Everglades Isle offers a full service marina, fueling facility and heated pool and spa. We have a clubhouse and bar that is second to none! The Barron River offers direct access to the Gulf of Mexico and the Everglades has endless fishing adventures!

The Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail is quite an extravaganza! From smaller fishing boats to million dollar speed boats, this show has a boat for all passions. Visitors can shop for fishing gear, boating shoes and even Rolex watches. Previous Dallas Cowboys Football Coach, Jimmy Johnson was here and I had the privilege of him inquiring about Everglades Isle! Among the many other exhibitors and famous people is Guy Harvey, an world renowned marine artist whose work speaks for itself.
