With tropical storm Fay drifting out of range and diminishing winds forecast for the near future, we are looking for a return to ‘normal,’ summertime conditions. There’s still lots of ‘junior tarpon,’ in the backcountry. Fish from 5 to 20 pounds, with a fair number of snook mixed in, averaging 20 to 25 inches, and an occasional 30 inch fish that will hit you when you least expect it.
